Recruit Marksmanship Training Facility MCB Camp Pendleton
was awarded Top Project by a General Contractor at the Excellence in
Construction Awards on November 22, 2013 for our building of The Recruit
Marksmanship Training Facility at Camp Pendelton.
The Recruit Marksmanship Training Facility (RMTF) was a new Design Build 25,000 S.F. LEED Platinum training facility for the Marine Corps located at Camp Pendleton, CA. This remarkable facility was constructe d as three separate buildings adjacent to each other with an open breezeway between covered by a prolific structural FRP and steel shade trellis.
The work included slab on grade, masonry walls, structural steel, standing seam roofing, metal fabrication, metal stud framing, hollow metal and wood sound attenuation doors and frames, blast mitigation windows, low VOC paint, wall coverings, sustainable wood - finish carpentry, acoustical ceilings, accordion folding STC 50 partitions, ceramic wall & floor tile, resi lient tile flooring, carpeting, toilet partitions and accessories, water efficient plumbing fixtures, fire protection and specialties, signage, high efficiency energy saving HVAC & lighting systems, public address system, data/fiber and tel/com systems, a world class FF&E package and many other sustainable design features.
