  P-1008 Combat Training Facility

This project is to design and construct a new Combat Training Tank and two story Instruction Building for the School of Infantry, located in the 52 Area. The project has been created to consolidate the Marine Corps Basic Recon Course (BRC).

The eight-lane, 98.43 ft. x 164.04 ft (30 m x 50 m) outdoor, heated swimming pool shall be built to Federation Internationale de Natation or FINA standards with a minimum waterline depth of 4 ft (1.22 m) at the shallow end to 15 ft (4.57 m) deep at the deep end. Provide a diving tower at the deep end of the Pool. The following program spaces associated with the Combat Training Tank shall be housed inside the Instruction Building: Showers and Locker Room / Restroom facilities, a staff office, and general storage area. The pool pump equipment/chemical storage room shall be housed outside in an enclosure. The enclosure shall have natural ventilation. Additional pool equipment such as pool filters shall also be housed outside but do not need to be in an enclosure. The pump equipment/chemical storage room and associated swimming pool equipment shall be located adjacent to the pool.
